EXPERIENCE

To spread the excitement of Sonic Prime, we developed a single-day pop experience in the style of a Monolith Prism inspired by the show. This monolith provided an AR experience that immersed users into floating prism shards that contained various clips and characters from each world. Once the experience was complete, users were sent a downloadable video to share across social.

With my role in this project, I was fortunate to lead the entire process from refining the concept, directing our team and partners, organizing the experience, and assisting with developing the 3D motion graphics. This project was a labor of love and we were thrilled for its release and success.

AR FILTER

For this AR filter, we created an interactive quiz that would prompt users with either/or questions pertaining to Sonic characters from various Shatterverses. The user would need to nod left or right to select their answer. As the user selected their answers they were served a preview of which Shatterverse character they are most aligning to in the form of floating prism crystals. At the end of the quiz, you would see which character you were based on your answers in the form of a large split crystal which allowed you to see the other half of your face as a Sonic Character.

Some of my task as lead AD on this project were partner resourcing, working closely with our partners at Pretty Big Monster to develop the filter, working closely with and presenting creative to Netflix, constructing and organizing the user quiz experience in collab with the copy team, and overall art direction.
